Rejected
Rejection today, unexpected although you never can tell. It's been a while since I made a submission; have been focused on finishing the book.  It got me thinking, though - why submit to a zine with fewer followers than me?

There's the validation of editorial acceptance, but it also feels like being a credit slut, and why go after small markets?

Answer: big ones reject me, in ridiculous publication odds.

Real answer: doing a bit to stay visible, while continuing to work on the book sale.

I'm still very fond of the small zines, though, including the one that rejected me, and my fave @trapezemag, the sci fi Twitter lit zine. Follow them. Boost their popularity past my own.
